COMMENTS

12/7/2024: Bobby Nelon responded with when he can scrape the road and spread the fill material:

His job will keep him out of town until December 13th. But any time between then and Christmas, as weather permits. He plans to scrape the road first. Then, after the fill is delivered, he will spread that. He is agreeable with whichever of the fill materials we decide to purchase.

12/4/2024: Abe responded with thoughts regarding the bridge condition:

Abe: I noticed that the bridge has a hole in front of it again not sure if someone filled it in. I tried to fix it a few weeks ago but it gave away. I haven't noticed it in a couple of days though.

Randy: The lady from the hurricane disaster relief called with a series of questions about the potential bridge damage. But that was a few weeks ago and I haven't heard anything back.

Abe: We have to get some support under that one area under it.

12/4/2024: Johnny responded regarding the 3 road material options:

The roadbond with stone would hold up better, but that's not available. 3/4 stone may be a better choice if we can't get the other. The roadbond without stone in it is basically like sand.

If he can scrape the road and get it pretty well smooth and then add the 3/4 stone, it'll be the best way to do it with the best outcome.

If not the gravel will just fill the current holes and water will pond in them and beat out quickly. So scraping the road good and smoothe first then adding the stone last will be the best.

Doing it that way too the dump truck can use the spreader gate and just drive while it comes out in a nice layer and he won't have to do much work after the fact.

Be good to get this done before the rain comes in next week.
